It can often be difficult to get the skills and training necessary to work in a trade profession like construction. In New York, you typically must have a successful apprenticeship of 1 to 6 years before becoming a full-fledged construction worker. This program offers New Yorkers free construction skills training and a pathway to employment in a union career in construction. The Green Jobs Pre-Apprenticeship program collaborates with four training providers that have direct entry agreements with NY construction unions: The Edward J.
